Yikes!

Haven't been on here in awhile! Been busy, busy with traveling, transcripts, and whatnot. When I do get downtime, it's usually to go watch TV. LOL I will have to get updated pics of the garden and post them soon. :-)

The Garden Lives!!!

I was so thrilled to go outside and check my garden today and find that I've got sprouts! The rain and cold didn't damage my garden! Woohoo!! Not to mention, I also have dill growing in the other planter that I thought was a total failure and wasn't gonna grow anything. But I've actually got a couple things sprouting in there! Finally!! My peppers plants look AMAZING, and the tomato plants are getting a little taller. I went outside and watered everything with Miracle Gro. Next I gotta weed some stuff, and of course, I will be taking pictures. :-D

Critter Pics and Engagement

So, as promised, I am attaching pics of the latest critters we have seen in our backyard this week. :-D

Also--just this last Sunday, I got ENGAGED! :-D The wedding date is set for May 14, 2011. Ring pics are up on FB.
Not much time today since I've been working on transcripts for most of it, and now it's time to spend time with Ross, soooo I'm gonna get off here and make some homemade spaghetti and meatballs. :-)

R.I.P. Old Blog

Ok, so I used to have an old blog on here, but when my old gmail account got spammed, I set it up for deletion, and it deleted my old blog on here too, since it was set up through google. So I am starting fresh again...

And in the spirit of starting "fresh" and new, I have herbs that are finally sprouting!! I'm not really sure what they are yet, since I pretty much planted herbs all over the place! They just look so cute....

One of my berry plants also has new leaves on it. I'm not really sure which one it is--since the blackberry plant and the raspberry plant are next to each other, and they look alike! Just a couple sticks in the ground. LOL I reckon I won't know what they are until they start actually producing fruit.

I have been cooking up a storm today--all "healthy" recipes from Cooking Light magazine. I put together a Maple and Walnut Quick Bread, which I haven't tried yet, but it's cooling on a rack, and we will be digging into it tomorrow morning for breakfast!

I also made some Peanut Butter Snickernoodles. They were supposed to be Almond Butter Snickernoodles, but I couldn't find almond butter at Wal-Mart. So PB got substituted. And, I think the cookies should have been smaller, but hey-- live and learn. They still look and taste good!

I am off to plant Delphinium and Gaillardia seeds into some hanging planters, and also to move my Columbines into a hanging planter. Stay tuned for critter pics later this week! :-D
